Dent Med-Implant Center - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26001055)
The Multidisciplinary Implant Center is where the Periodontic, Oral Surgery, Prosthodonic, and GPR residents rotate to learn Implant surgical and restorative procedures. Third and fourth year dental students rotate to assist and observe in these procedures.
Job Summary
Performs chairside dental assisting and radiography. Guides patients through visits and treatments, ensures charts are complete and necessary information is collected, and coordinates patient flow. Ensures infection control in operatories and with instruments. Maintains supplies.
Essential Functions
Dental assistant will help set up and breakdown chairs for residents and students, clean lab, dispense instruments, clean instruments, stock clinical supplies, order clinical supplies, maintain OSHA standards, some chairside assisting, and other duties assigned by Director or supervisor.
Physical Effort
Standing for long periods of time, some bending and lifting.
