Internal Medicine Specialist – SASH, Western Sydney
The Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) now has 8 hospitals across Australia and is the largest privately owned network of Specialist hospitals in the country. Offering a truly collaborative environment, you will work in a growing multidisciplinary setting, whilst having the opportunity to draw on the knowledge and experience from the wider network of SASH specialists, assisting you to achieve the best results for your patients.Â
The Western Sydney hospitals' services include internal medicine, 24 hours emergency and critical care, radiology, oncology, ophthalmology, surgery with sports medicine & physiotherapy and dermatology. You will have access to an intensive care unit, full service in-house lab and endoscopy, with a large dedicated medicine procedure room. You will work with our full-time, on-site radiology team and radiographer who will assist with your ultrasound, CT, MRI and X-ray needs. With our new network-wide PACs system, you will have access to same-day reporting on any imaging performed for your patients.

The Internal Medicine Position:Â
Sadly, one of our full-time medicine specialists is moving abroad and we are looking for the right person to fill the role. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Internal Medicine Specialist to join Dr Lucy Barker, Dr. Chelsea Lim, Dr Kirsten Bogedale, supported by our dedicated internal medicine intern. This large and open plan hospital has been purpose-built, with our teams' needs in mind, boasting state-of-the-art equipment including: Siemens 64 slice CT, Â ultrasound, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, a large dedicated medicine procedure area, endoscopy suite and a 1.5 Tesla MRI.

Our department's biggest asset is our team dynamic. We are proud to have an exceptional team of highly skilled Internal Medicine nurses. They deliver outstanding procedural support, demonstrate strong initiative, and take great pride in their clinical expertise. With a deep commitment to client communication and education, they ensure every interaction is clear, compassionate, and informative. Each specialist is supported daily by dedicated procedural nurses, ensuring seamless and efficient care. This is a Full-time, permanent position, working across a 4 day week, with no weekend or out of hours requirements.Â
To be considered for this position, you will:

- Be eligible to register as a veterinarian in Australia (NSW) and be qualified as a specialist in Internal Medicine either Fellow (ANZCVS) or Diplomate (ACVIM, ECVIM)
