About Steeples Veterinary Clinic

Steeples Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned mixed animal practice that has proudly served the East Kootenay region since 1978. We believe in providing exceptional patient care while fostering a workplace culture built on teamwork, respect, mentorship, and professional growth.

Our veterinary technicians are highly valued members of the healthcare team and are encouraged to fully utilize their training and skills. We strive to create an environment where technicians can continue developing professionally while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

What Makes This Opportunity Unique?

Our practice provides care for companion animals, horses, and livestock, creating a diverse and engaging caseload. For candidates who prefer companion animal medicine, the role can be tailored accordingly.

The East Kootenay region offers a veterinary experience that is increasingly difficult to find in larger urban centres. Without a nearby specialty or referral hospital, veterinary teams in the region are frequently involved in advanced medical, surgical, emergency, and critical care cases. This creates excellent opportunities for technicians who enjoy learning, developing their skills, and participating in challenging and rewarding cases.

Responsibilities may include:

• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance
• Dentistry and dental radiography
• Laboratory diagnostics and imaging
• Patient nursing care and treatment administration
• Client education and communication
• Assisting veterinarians with examinations and procedures

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive compensation based on experience
• Signing bonus available for the successful candidate
• Extended health and benefits plan
• Paid professional dues
• Continuing education allowance
• Uniform allowance
• Employee discounts on veterinary services and products
• Profit sharing program
• Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates

Why Consider Moving to the East Kootenays?

Located in southeastern British Columbia, Cranbrook is only a short distance from the U.S. border and offers an exceptional quality of life.

• World class skiing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and camping
• Stunning Rocky Mountain and Purcell Mountain scenery
• Short commutes and excellent work life balance
• A welcoming community and outdoor focused lifestyle
• Year round access to outdoor recreation

Many people visit the East Kootenays for a vacation and eventually decide to make it home.
