Job Summary:

This position is PRN. This person will work as needed.

The MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MRI imaging in outpatient setting. The tech has the ability to work in an effective and efficient manner. Tech is responsible for independent operation of MRI equipment and obtaining diagnostic medical images for interpretation by radiologist or neurologist. Tech is also responsible for exceptional patient care and assists with the daily operations of the imaging center.

Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

- Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
- Certified and Registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging from either ARRT or ARMRIT
- Experience with operation of MR scanner and peripheral instrumentation (e.g., contrast injector, GFR measurement, etc.)
- Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills in English
- At least five (5) years' experience as an MRI Technologist performing clinical diagnostic imaging

- Experience with pediatric imaging, as the Center will have a particular focus on research imaging in infants and children
- Experience with a Siemens platform
- More than seven (7) years' experience as an MRI Technologist performing clinical diagnostic imaging
- Excellent initiative, independence and problem-solving skills
