Description
Job DescriptionTheDepartment of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University OfMaryland School Of Medicine, committed to academic excellence and diversitywithin the faculty and staff, is seeking a fellowship-trained Neuroradiologistto contribute to our mission of clinical service, research, and education.
Thedivision of diagnostic neuroradiology is comprised of 7 faculty members andworks closely with a team of 3 interventional neuroradiologists. The divisionserves the University of Maryland Medical Center and its affiliated hospitals.UMMC is an acute care hospital with over600 beds, including a Neurocare Center of Excellence and the Shock TraumaCenter. Equipment includes high field MRI scanners, Biplane angiography suites, aninterventional CT scanner, PET-MRI, Hyperpolarized C-13 MRI and a MRI guidedfocused ultrasound system. The Department also provides key support for theCenter for Metabolic Imaging and Therapeutics and the Maryland Center forAdvanced Imaging Research Imaging.
Candidatesmust have an MD or equivalent degree and be eligible for or certified by theAmerican Board of Radiology and qualify for a Maryland medical license.Candidates must have successfully completed at least a 1-year ACGME accreditedneuroradiology fellowship and be Neuroradiology CAQ-certified or eligible.
Qualifications
Applicantsshould possess experience in interpretation of MRI and CT examinations of thebrain, spine, head and neck. Proficiency with basic head, neck and spineinterventional procedures is expected. Expertise in pediatric neuroimaging isdesirable. The incumbent is expected to actively participate in furthering theeducation mission of the department with the residency program and School of medicine. Excellent interpersonal and communicationskills with clinicians, patients, and trainees are required. Rank will bedetermined based on qualifications and skills. Salary is commensurate withqualifications and based on University of Maryland pay scales.
