The Department of Radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina is seeking candidates at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level to cover all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic General Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, and Nuclear Cardiology services. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in both nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging and is interested in actively participating in growing our theranostics program, teaching, and research activities.

Position requires minimum training of M.D./D.O. degree and completion of residency training in radiology/nuclear medicine. Certification (or eligibility) by the American Board of Radiology/Nuclear Medicine. Must have residency/fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine. Ability to obtain a permanent South Carolina medical license prior to commencement of the position required.
The Radiology Department consists of 62 faculty, including 5 physicists and Ph.D. faculty, and 4 nuclear radiologists. There are 46 Diagnostic Radiology residents, 11 Interventional/Diagnostic Radiology residents, 2 Independent Interventional residents, and one nuclear medicine resident. There are 4 ACGME fellowships in neuroradiology, and non-ACGME fellowships have, 4 in breast imaging/mammography, 2 in MSK, 4 in body imaging, and 2 in cardiothoracic radiology. The department does 400,000 examinations a year and is growing at 7-9% per year.
