Sandy Paws Animal Hospital in Orange Park, Florida is a family-friendly multi-DVM PRIVATE GENERAL PRACTICE searching to add an additional Veterinarian to join our lively, and slightly exotic, team. We've been well established in the area for many many years.
We are looking to add a PT or FT DVM to our team. We are NOT open on weekends or overnight. Looking for someone willing to work at least two weekday 8 hour appointment shifts and if looking for greater part time or full time hours, we can offer additional appointment shifts or a surgical shift. You will also enjoy having a 3 to 4 day weekend off once a month. Compensation range is anticipated from $75k-$150k depending on number of days, hours, and experience.
Team & Environment – Well-staffed highly experienced medical team, including CVTs. We provide ample technical support so you can do your DVM thing! We have a ZERO TOLERANCE aggressive client behavior policy. We also have exceptional equipment such as digital radiography (including dental), ultrasound, therapeutic laser, and Phovia light therapy.
Located just minutes south of Jacksonville and just shy of an hour north of St. Augustine where you’ll find the most renowned historic districts, dining, entertainment, and lovely beaches. Also within 1-2.5 hours is Amelia Island, Savannah, Orlando, and Daytona Beach. This is the perfect place to be if you are looking for sunshine, an enjoyable lifestyle, and affordable homes!
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine or related field
- Strong veterinary experience and animal handling skills
- Proficient in veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy
- Experience with animal care and husbandry practices
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care and animal restraint techniques
- Familiarity with dog handling, pet grooming, and aseptic techniques
- Laboratory and equine experience is a plus
