Requirements
Job Essentials:
- Supervise MRI department staff and manage daily operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Perform MRI scans and maintain high standards of imaging quality and patient care.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff; oversee hiring and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to magnetism and patient screening.
- Maintain and monitor MRI equipment, scheduling service and repairs when necessary.
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring comfort and adherence to service excellence standards.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and maintain effective communication with staff, physicians, and patients.
Education Requirements:
- Must have B.S. degree.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an MRI technologist.
License/Certification/Registry:
- Must be MRI certified.
- Must be ARRT certified and hold current New Jersey State License.
- Must possess communication and leadership skills including organization and planning skills.
- Maintains CPR certification.
