Welcome to Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS)
We are a world-class team of compassionate veterinary specialists and emergency vets delivering cutting-edge care to your beloved pets.
Based in Sydney, VSOS operates a unique hybrid model—combining a 24/7 Advanced Treatment Centre in Miranda with mobile services that bring specialist surgery, internal medicine, ultrasound, and cardiology directly to local vet clinics across Greater Sydney.
Our internationally trained experts in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, Surgery, Emergency & Critical Care (ECC), and Anaesthesia are redefining veterinary excellence in Australia.
From pioneering life-saving procedures like Mitral Valve Repair and Interventional Radiology procedures to providing heartfelt, collaborative care—we go beyond possible to deliver the very best outcomes for pets and their families.
Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS), began with a simple truth: pets are family, and they deserve the same standard of advanced care as the humans who love them.
Owned by Dr Karina Graham and her husband Simon, VSOS is the product of a lifelong devotion to animals, a fearless belief in what’s possible, and a refusal to accept the veterinary status quo. What started as a mobile specialist service—delivering complex procedures to local vet clinics—evolved into one of Australia’s only fully integrated Mobile, Emergency, and Specialty veterinary hospital.
Opened in July 2020, just after Sydney entered COVID lockdown, VSOS has since become a trusted lifeline for pet owners and veterinarians alike, housing 45 vets, 15 of whom are specialists in internal medicine, surgery, ECC, anaesthesia, neurology and cardiology. It’s open 24/7 with cutting-edge technology and performs everything from open-heart surgery to bionic limb replacements.
VSOS has pioneered world-first procedures and redefined what’s possible in animal medicine—without ever losing its heart.
It continues to pioneer Australian and world-first procedures. From open heart surgery and interventional procedures using human health doctors, to curing severe arthritis through new embolization techniques, to world-first tumour removal via nasal suction, VSOS is inventing new standards for what’s possible in animal care.
VSOS constantly asks: how can we do this better—for the animal, for the owner, for the vet? It has built a culture that people want to be part of, and that animals are lucky to land in.
We believe today’s pets are family. And that family deserve the world’s most exceptional care, delivered with love, empathy and respect. In every circumstance, we strive to look for a solution. Saying “there are no options” is something we rarely accept.
Sydney can rely on VSOS to save and improve the lives of its most loved cats and dogs in ways previously not thought practical, nor possible. Because they’re beyond just pets, we go … Beyond Possible
