Schedule:
Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM - 5 PM

Duties
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols.
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including X-ray imaging, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics, ensuring smooth workflow.
Take digital dental X-rays, adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Manage patient records accurately using Dentrix, ensuring all medical documentation is complete and up-to-date.
Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care, especially in complex cosmetic and rehabilitative cases.
Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care instructions, and explain dental terminology clearly to enhance their understanding and comfort.
Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical records and ensuring compliance with healthcare infection prevention and control standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental assisting procedures.
Proficiency in Dentrix for managing patient data efficiently.
Strong understanding of infection control practices including dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention expertise.
Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, dental instruments, and other clinical tools with precision.
Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry procedures to support effective clinical assistance.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with the dental team.
Certification in radiography (X-ray certification) preferred.
