Position Summary
The Medical Imaging Technology (MIT) department at Oregon Institute of Technology (Oregon Tech) seeks applicants for an instructor of Radiologic Science with registry in CT, MRI and/or experience in Interventional radiography. This is a career track, full-time, nine-month position
Oregon Tech is a public university located in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Klamath Falls is located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains in southern Oregon and is known as Oregon’s City of Sunshine. It is widely recognized for its remarkable mountain and lake scenery, including Crater Lake National Park and year-round outdoor recreation opportunities. Klamath Falls is a small but vibrant town rich with arts and culture, downtown eateries, and craft breweries.
The MIT department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in five modalities: Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Echocardiography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiologic Science, and Vascular Technology. All modalities emphasize student-centered instruction oriented towards professional success. Facilities provide state-of-the-art imaging equipment, labs, simulators, and the latest technology to prepare learners to be leaders in the field. The medical imaging faculty are an amazing team and part of a tradition of excellence at Oregon Tech.
The primary focus of all faculty positions in the MIT department is on excellent teaching at the bachelor’s level. The successful candidate’s instructional responsibilities will include a variety of core courses depending upon certification/credentials, and experience. Faculty are expected to advise students, improve courses through continuous assessment, and adjust content to reflect current workforce trends.
Faculty are expected to pursue professional development to stay current in the discipline and enhance instructional practices. Faculty will participate in service activities for the institution (department and university levels), profession, and community

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a Medical Imaging modality or in a related field with an Associates degree or certificate in a Medical Imaging modality; Applicants hired without a master’s degree will be expected to earn a master’s degree within a time determined at hire.
- Current Certification/Credentials
- Minimum of five (5) years of related occupational work experience.
- Indicate modality preferred, based upon certifications/credentials in cover letter.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Medical Imaging, Higher Education, or related field with a Bachelor’s degree in a Medical Imaging modality.
- Recent teaching experience at the college level and/or in industry training experience.
- Certified in multiple modalities or certifications.
