Description
Pediatric Interventional Radiology and fluoroscopy coverage is available in Ohio with a weekday schedule and limited weekend call. This is an inpatient role with defined daily volumes and strong radiology support on site.
Highlights
- Weekday coverage with some schedule flexibility, five 8 hour shifts or four 10 hour shifts
- Weekend call only, about one weekend per month, average 2 to 4 calls per weekend for inpatient rounding and management plus GJ call
- Option to cover both IR and diagnostic fluoroscopy, or be considered for either service depending on your skill set
Practice Setting
- Inpatient pediatric service, pediatric experience welcomed but extensive pediatric background not required
- IR team of 3 physicians total, with 1 IR physician staffed per day
- Diagnostic radiology support includes 18 radiologists, with 1 assigned to fluoroscopy daily and at least 2 radiologists on site per day
- Coverage need driven by a staffing change
Schedule
- Monday through Friday coverage
- Scheduled hours are 7:30 to 4:30, with some ability to adjust to five 8 hour shifts or four 10 hour shifts
- Weekend call only, one weekend per month on average
Cases and Procedures
- Interventional Radiology volume averages 8 to 10 cases per day
- Diagnostic fluoroscopy volume averages 10 to 12 cases per day
- Service can be structured for IR plus diagnostic fluoroscopy coverage, or for either IR tasks or diagnostic fluoroscopy tasks
Requirements
- Must be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Ohio license required, will consider waiting for licensure with an active IMLC LOQ only
- Board certified, Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and Fluoroscopy required
