Location: Baylor Medical Center - Irving, Texas | 2001 N MacArthur Blvd, Irving, 75061

Shift: Seasonal Role | 8 hour shifts

-Need someone willing to work 8- 4:30 but have some flexibility on that // 1 Saturday each month or every other month 8a -2p

Seasonal Commitment Information

• Full-time Seasonal weekly requirements are five 8-hour shifts for the 13-week contract (excludes 1st week of orientation)

• $1,500 completion bonus for meeting minimum productive time

• $64 Seasonal rate.

• Eligible for shift differentials. $3.50 for evenings, $5 for nights, and $6 for weekends. These are stackable (as applicable by time/day) so if you worked a weekend night, you would be paid $64 + $5 + $6.

• The first week is Monday- Friday orientation.

• Although this is a short term (13 week) assignment, you would be a Baylor employee (not contractual, agency, etc.). The hope is that once the assignment is concluded, you will convert to a regular FT, PT, or PRN role.

Job Summary The Seasonal Mammography Technologist PRN, under a Radiologist's supervision, performs Breast Imaging procedures on patients. These procedures are requested by a physician or licensed provider for diagnosing disease and injury, following established protocols.

Essential Functions of the Role

• Performs high-quality Breast Imaging procedures according to exam protocol, promptly. Maintains production and quality by following established standards and procedures.

• Utilizes AIDET to communicate with patients. Identifies patient service needs. Ensures the correct exam is performed on the correct patient. Establishes rapport with patients and others. Instructs and communicates with patients and their family about the test. Assesses the patient's ability to tolerate the exam.

• Prepare the patient and area for the procedure. Position the patient and adjust immobilization devices. Move equipment into the specified position and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors.

• Protects patients and employees by following safety, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies. Uses proper sterile techniques for invasive procedures and maintains hand hygiene.

• Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards. Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment operation. Reports issues to management or the appropriate department. Assists in maintaining the supplies inventory.

• Ensures you are safe to enter the department by screening them according to approved policies and procedures.

• Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documents like requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, shielding precautions, consent forms, and policies.

• Maintains medical imaging records in appropriate system and according to department policies and standards for interpretation in a timely manner.

• Ensure customer satisfaction by limiting wait times and providing courteous service. Remain professional, review patient satisfaction scores, and develop action plans when needed.

• Demonstrates and maintains current knowledge, education, and skills for appropriate care of newborns, pediatric, young adults, adults, and geriatrics.

• Able to serve as preceptor by providing quality training to new team members and on new services and initiatives.

• Able to take call, if required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• - EXPERIENCE - 1 Year of Relevant Mammography experience (can include clinical experience)

• ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R)
