MetroWest Animal HospitalWe are offering a sign on bonus up to $2,000 for credentialed technicians!
MetroWest Animal Hospital is looking to add an experienced Veterinary Technician or CVT to our growing small animal practice in Massachusetts.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys a smaller team environment, values autonomy and client communication, and wants to continue expanding their technical skills in a practice that is actively evolving technician utilization and workflow.
We are a collaborative 1.5 doctor general practice focused on thoughtful patient care, strong client relationships, and creating an efficient, supportive environment for both patients and staff. Our ideal candidate is confident, adaptable, proactive, and comfortable functioning independently while still working closely with the veterinary team.

While surgery experience is strongly preferred, the team is also open to someone motivated to continue growing in anesthesia and surgical support over time.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures
- Surgical preparation, anesthetic monitoring, and recovery care
- Running technician appointments and treatments
- Client communication and education
- Laboratory sample collection and diagnostic support
- Digital radiography and dental radiography support
- Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting efficient workflow throughout the hospital

- Digital radiography
- Digital dental radiography
- Butterfly ultrasound
- Full surgical monitoring equipment
- IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment
- Visiting internist and cardiologist support
- Dedicated surgery and dentistry exposure

Compensation for this role ranges from $20-$24/hour, based on credentialing, technical skill set, and relevant veterinary experience.

REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years prior experience in a veterinary hospital required
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) is required
- The ideal candidate will have a passion for client education and patient advocacy, be versatile, and enjoy collaboration with colleagues.
- Basic computer literacy and be able to adapt to new systems
- Be willing to learn basic front desk tasks to cover call outs and lunches.
- Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
